The University of Manitoba Dance Team first began in May 2003 with former coaches and choreographers Crystal Blanchard and Christine Porpiglia. Crystal and Christine coordinated the team for the first three years and handed over responsibilities to senior Dance Team performers for the 2006-2007 season.

Each year the team performs at more events both at the University and in the community to represent the University of Manitoba and Bison Athletics.
